Statement by the Director of the Institute of Human Immunology and Genomics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tamara Uktamovna Aripova on the fight against corruption
“We must fight corruption together with the public”
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat MIRZIYOEV
At a new stage of development for Uzbekistan, any form of corruption is considered a vice that can weaken the intensity and effectiveness of reforms.
Indeed, in the Message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan dated December 20, 2022, it was noted that “Until all segments of the population and the best specialists are involved in the fight against corruption, until our society is, figuratively speaking, inoculated with a “vaccine of honesty”, we will not be able to achieve our goals”.
Therefore, in the new Uzbekistan, as part of reforms aimed at further improving the well-being of our people, unconditionally ensuring human rights and interests, and developing civil society, the formation of an atmosphere of uncompromising fight against corruption is required in all areas.
The Institute of Immunology and Human Genomics is also carrying out large-scale work aimed at creating an effective system for preventing corruption, early detection and elimination of the causes and conditions that can provoke it.
In particular, at the Institute of Immunology and Human Genomics, internal anti-corruption control structures have been created, hiring practices have been introduced on the basis of an open competition, anti-corruption examination of draft regulatory legal acts, identification and elimination of corruption risks in procurement, as well as all seminars and defenses of the Academic Council under The Institute is shown on open portals.
The Institute of Immunology and Human Genomics will continue to consistently implement measures to prevent corruption offenses, early identify and eliminate the causes and conditions that contribute to them, as well as create an uncompromising environment to combat corruption.
